TechArt president to offer InDesign course at
University of California

Diane Burns, president of TechArt, will offer a general course on Adobe InDesign as part of UC Berkeley Extension's Graphics Design Program. The 30-hour course runs for two weeks in June 2009 at the University's campus in downtown San Francisco.

TechArt helps organize InDesign Conference in Tokyo

TechArt, in collaboration with TechArt TYO Office and Mogo Media, has organized the second annual InDesign Conference in Tokyo. The conference will be held July 7-9, 2008, at TEPIA Hall in Aoyama, Tokyo. The conference chairman is Mr. Yuichi Inomata, Dept. Head of Graphic Design at Tama Art University, and founder of MdN Magazine. Speakers include TechArt president, Diane Burns, InDesign guru Sandee Cohen, and many prominent industry leaders from Japan.

InDesign Magazine is featuring a three-part article by TechArt president Diane Burns on InDesign & World Languages. The first installment gives a general overview of issues involved in publishing in non-English languages and how to work with European and Central European languages. Part 2 discusses issues involved in working with Chinese, Japanese & Korean text. Part 3 covers the Middle Eastern version of InDesign, for handling languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.

TechArt and Adobe InDesign User’s Group launch web site on World Language Support

In cooperation with the Adobe InDesign User’s Group, TechArt has launched an information-packed web site on the use of InDesign for publishing in non-English languages. The site includes information on the various language versions of InDesign, and a white paper, InDesign and World Languages, by TechArt's president, Diane Burns.
